Vickie N. Williams, FSA:

  • Has been an actuary since 1980.

  • Is the sole owner of Williams Actuarial Group, LLC

  • Was a principal for a large, regional actuarial firm for 20 years. For most of that time, she was the firm's only female principal. She also served on the firm's executive committee.

  • Created and led the Consulting Solutions Group, which taught peers and associates how to be effective consultants.

  • Served for 10 years as a key program committee member for the annual Enrolled Actuaries Meeting, an intensive three-day education session and the largest gathering of pension actuaries in the U.S. This experience allowed Vickie to develop relationships with prominent actuaries (including prominent IRS and PBGC actuaries) across the nation, giving her a network of professionals to consult for peer review.

  • Is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

  • Is a member of the Middle Tennessee Employee Benefits Council and was previously a member of the Nashville Women's Breakfast Club, CABLE (the largest women's business networking organization in Tennessee) and the Executive Women's Golf Association.

  • Previously chaired the finance committee for the governing body of Hillwood Presbyterian Church, where she is also an elder.

  • Has diverse work experience with most types of plans in a variety of business settings, including professional, manufacturing, mining, universities, hospitals, publishing, food services, banking, church-related and non-profit. She has extensive experience with international companies and their subsidiaries.

  • Was the state of Mississippi's first female actuary.
